KRI Nanggala 402 was found, 53 crew members died
Update 24 April 2021-18:26 The status of KRI Nanggala-402 per day has been upgraded from sub-miss to sub-sunk. This was officially stated by the KSAL this afternoon, April 24, 2021. This was updated by the discovery of pieces of ship parts such as sponge bases, torpedo tube straighteners, cooling pipe wrappers.

Indonesia Submarine Missing Latest News 24 April 2021. The search for Indonesian Navy Submarines is still being carried out, although the estimated oxygen supply has run out early this morning. The KRI Nanggala-402 submarine belonging to the Indonesian Navy was lost in Bali waters and it is hoped that the evacuation process will run on time and all submarine crews can be saved.
The chronology of the disappearance of the Indonesian Submarine KRI Nanggala-402, as conveyed by the Indonesian Navy, said the ship had lost contact since 21 April 2021 at 03.00 in the context of missile and torpedo firing exercises. After diving for a long time it was not detected until it was scheduled to appear, which was supposed to be scheduled for 05.15. On April 21, 2021 at 6:46 a.m., TNI Al applied a submissed signal, the exercise was postponed and a search for KRI Nanggala 402 was deployed.
As it is known that the oxygen supply, the supplies on the submarine are expected to run out on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 03.00. The ship was on a practice mission to fire the Tornado before it lost contact and has not been found until now. The last condition of KRI Nanggala 402 until now is noiseless, but the sonar can still be detected.
The search was carried out by mobilizing all the resources of the Indonesian Navy. KRI Rigel was deployed to search for magnetic points around the waters of the North Sea of Bali, Indonesia. The SAR ship Antasena 234 is also deployed with its underwater smart robot capabilities.

Assistance from neighboring countries and other countries was also received to participate in the search for this submarine. The United States military will send its military teams and aircraft to support the search. Malaysia sent the MV Mega Bakti, a specification rescue ship that serves as a surface support for the submarine. Meanwhile, Singapore also provided full assistance and support for the search for the Nanggala 402 submarine, including by sending the MV Swift Rescue which had departed on April 21, 2021 and is expected to arrive today.
The search is still being carried out by a team from the Indonesian Navy, including assistance from foreign countries, such as from Australia, sending 2 warships named HMAS Ballarat and HMAS Sirius. HMAS Ballarat arrived in Bali waters Friday 23 April, has sonar capability and a helicopter rover. Meanwhile, HMAS Sirius is expected to arrive on Tuesday, April 27, 2021.
